Hi, I’m Julie.
I’ve spent 15 years working across editorial content and technology—as a journalist, managing editor, and product leader. In recent years, I’ve brought editorial judgment to AI product development and content quality, working directly with engineers to build tools and workflows that are useful and trustworthy.
I believe in what new technologies can make possible. I also believe that human craft and good judgment matter more than ever.
Previously, I lived out my teenage VJ dreams as an editor and correspondent for MTV News, where three articles I edited were nominated for National Magazine Awards. I have a degree in Comp Lit from Harvard and I’ve written for The Atlantic, Wired, New York Magazine, Vox, McSweeney’s, and CNN. I also once created a viral Tumblr about action heroines in wildly inappropriate shoes.
