Hi, I’m Julie. I’m a writer, editor, and product person.
I work at the intersection of writing and technology, most recently as a managing editor and product lead in the edtech space. I've built RAG-powered tools, developed evaluation frameworks for LLMs, and designed human-in-the-loop workflows for content production.
In a past life, I was a political editor and correspondent for MTV News, where two articles I edited were nominated for National Magazine Awards. I've written for The Atlantic, Wired, NY Magazine, Vox, and CNN, and I also once created a viral Tumblr about action heroines in wildly inappropriate shoes. I have a degree in Comparative Literature from Harvard University.
I live in Seattle, where I enjoy going on hikes with my toddler and listening to recap podcasts.
